Welcome Visitor,

Dog Clippers

Dog grooming or clipping is recommended for dogs with longer coats. Breeds such as Shih Tzus, Maltese, King Charles Cavaliers, Schnauzers, West Highland Terriers and Cocker spaniels get clipped according to breed specific cuts or even - all over styles if preferred by dog owners.

Our clientele also includes a large number of cross bred dogs. Some of the more popular crosses include Maltese x Shih Tzu, Labrador x Poodle (Labradoodle), Pug x Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (Pugalier), Cocker Spaniel x Poodle (Spoodle) and Poodle x Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (Cavoodle), Maltese x Poodle (Moodle).

We encourage making regular appointment for all clients, usually between 5-6 weeks. It is recommended scheduling an appointment for all new puppies as soon as all vaccinations are completed. First appointment includes a wash and tidy up around eyes and bottom, their nail clipped and ears cleaned. The use of dog clippers is introduced to each puppy gradually, often from second or third session.

At PawsAbout we use professional dog clippers to ensure that all grooms are completed safely and efficiently. If dogs are not regularly brushed knots may form all around a dog's body. To eliminate knots dog groomers often have no choice but to shave them off. In some instances dog clippers cannot pass through the tightest knots, therefore, a shorter blade must be chosen. We maintain our dog grooming equipment and ensure that all dog clippers are in efficient operating order and blades are sharpened.
